Meet Mrs. E

Howdy!  I’m Karrie, aka Mrs. E.  I teach math.  Pretty creative blog name, huh?

I'm currently in my 8th year of teaching.  I taught statistics and remedial math at a local university, then moved to a private high school and taught Geometry and Algebra 2.  I took a year off to stay home with my son when he was born.  It was wonderful to have the opportunity to spend time with him, but now I'm teaching again!  I am now teaching at a different private K-12 school and I teach Algebra 1, Geometry, and Algebra 2.

My husband and I are both native Texans and have been married for ten (!) years.  We have an adorable, energetic toddler son that never stops moving.  My husband taught him to say "Mama tooted!" and now he likes to yell it in public.  *sigh*

I opened my Teachers pay Teachers store in the summer of 2012.  Blogging and Teachers Pay Teachers have made me a better teacher.  Blogging has made me reflect on my teaching practices - the good, the bad, and the ugly.  Teachers Pay Teachers has inspired me to create fantastic things for my classes.  It has empowered me to think outside the textbook and create meaningful things for my students.
